National Novel Writing Month

November is National Novel Writing Month.

I've participated in NaNoWriMo before with various degrees of success. This year I want to participate but it will be a little different. I've had this project I've been working on for a while. A book called "120 Ideas for Tiny House Living." This is, of course, based on our experience building and living in our 120 square foot house.

By the letter of the NaNo rules, my little project doesn't count. For one, it is nonfiction. The second is that I have already started it and the way NaNo is supposed to be done is to write something start to finish in 30 days. And it has to be 50,000 words. I've decided that I am going to use November to finish this project even though it doesn't fall under official NaNoWriMo rules.

So, stick with me this November and I may post some teasers over at Life in 120 Square Feet.

Jill and I have been challenging each other to write for years and since we started doing it both of us have taken it to the next level. Jill's been published in several fantasy fiction anthologies and is working on a couple of novels. I, as you know, was able to quit my full time …
